About
Top Daily Responsibilities:
Design/conduct studies based on a solid understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.
Partner with cross-functional team members and other UX Researchers as you plan and execute your studies, ensuring your research aligns with top priorities.
Articulate key insights through clear and comprehensive written reports, compelling visuals, frameworks, decks, and documentary style video clips.
Present findings to a diverse audience, including senior leaders.
Skill / Experience / Education:
Must share a portfolio demonstrating strong breadth and depth of UX Research experience, including qualitative foundational research (diary studies, ethnographic studies) and quantitative research (surveys).
Education:
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in a research-focused field and/or sufficient experience to demonstrate qualifications for the responsibilities above.
Years of industry experience conducting user research in a professional context and has worked directly with users (lab studies, field studies, surveys, competitive analyses) and cross-functional partners (PMs, engineers, data science, marketing).
Skills or Processes:
Extensive experience running a variety of UXR methodologies (diary studies, ethnographic studies, surveys, usability studies).
They must have owned the entire UXR process independently (from defining research questions to presenting to stakeholders).
Very strong writing skills (comfortable articulating insights in a document).
Experience working within a product development cycle with PMs, engineers, marketing, data science.
At a minimum, they must have experience writing and analyzing a survey.
Bonus if they are familiar with max-diff and other more technical quant UXR skills.
