Manager, Advanced Research

We're partnering with an established SaaS organization seeking a hands-on Manager, Advanced Research to modernize its applied AI/ML strategy and lead a highly technical team driving product innovation through large language models (LLMs) and modern ML practices.

In this role, you'll oversee a talented group of AI/ML engineers and researchers, guiding the organization's shift from legacy systems to scalable, production-grade machine learning. You'll own the full ML lifecycle - from data strategy to deployment - and collaborate with senior product and engineering leaders to ensure AI initiatives directly advance business goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of AI/ML practitioners, fostering innovation and technical excellence.

• Design and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms.

• Oversee data collection, preparation, and model evaluation to ensure quality and performance.

• Integrate LLMs and emerging AI methods into core product capabilities.

• Align AI/ML work with product strategy and communicate results effectively to diverse stakeholders.

• Drive the transition to modern ML infrastructure and scalable tooling.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.

• 5+ years of experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in production environments.

• Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.

• Experience applying LLMs or similar AI technologies to practical applications.

• Strong understanding of model development, optimization, and deployment.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
