About

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect / Senior Data Engineer to lead the design and implementation of a modern data warehouse and analytics platform using Microsoft Fabric and Azure Cloud technologies . This role is responsible for architecting scalable, secure, and efficient data solutions that integrate structured and unstructured data, modernize legacy systems, and improve overall data governance, quality, and accessibility.
The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, collaborate with business and technical stakeholders, and guide the end-to-end delivery of the enterprise data platform.
Requirements Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and implement Azure-native Enterprise Data Lakehouse and Data Warehouse solutions.

  • Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark .

  • Develop and maintain data models, governance frameworks, and security standards in Microsoft Fabric.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into architectural blueprints and solution designs.

  • Guide the migration of legacy reporting systems to cloud-based infrastructure.

  • Lead architectural decisions ensuring scalability, maintainability, and compliance with best practices.

  • Produce detailed technical documentation , architecture diagrams, and solution artifacts.

  • Oversee knowledge transfer , training, and documentation for internal teams.

Qualifications and Experience

Mandatory:

  • 12+ years of progressive experience as a Solution Architect or Senior Data Engineer , with proven expertise in Data Lakehouse architecture .

  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud , Microsoft Fabric , and related tools.

  • Proficiency in .NET Framework , Power BI , and data governance frameworks .

  • Deep understanding of data modeling, metadata management, and data security .

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred:

  • Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203) certification or equivalent.

  • Experience working within public sector or safety organizations .

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to mentor teams.

Additional Information
  • Work Location: Hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote per week) — Toronto, ON.

  • Hours: 35 hours per week (7 hours per day).

  • Contract Term: 12 months, with an option to extend for an additional 12 months.

  • Security Clearance: Successful candidates must complete a security background check prior to onboarding.

  • Start Date: January 2026 (subject to background check completion).

  • End Date: December 2026 , with possible extension.

  • Deadline for Submission: November 17, 2025, 1:00 PM (Local Time) .
