Personal Support Worker

We are seeking PSWs in the Alliston and surrounding area to provide care. Shift start times are 8 pm until 7 am- Awake Overnight Shifts Monday to Sunday. We are seeking casual individuals who are available to pick up shifts as needed.

Job Benefits:

• 4 hour shift minimum

The successful candidate's areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide personal care
• Utilize lifts in the home to transfer client
• Providing cognitive, social, emotional support
• Awake care overnight to manage safety of client
• Maintaining open communication with client and their family
• Monitoring care plan and adding documentation with any changes and updates
• Responding to all emergency situations
• All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

• PSW certification is required
• Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
• Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months
• CPI training is an asset**
• Drivers License and own insured vehicle is required**
• Satisfactory professional references
• Ability to accurately follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
