About the Role
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented
Visual Merchandiser
to design and execute visually stunning store layouts that elevate the customer experience. This role combines artistic vision with business acumen—translating brand identity and product strategy into captivating in-store presentations that inspire customers and drive sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement innovative
visual merchandising strategies
that align with sales and financial objectives. - Design and maintain
visually engaging displays
, layouts, and seasonal presentations across furniture, lighting, and décor categories. - Regularly
re-merchandise displays, signage, and product zones
to optimize traffic flow and product sell-through. - Coordinate and execute
floor moves
in alignment with visual leadership and store management. - Maintain store aesthetics—ensuring cleanliness, organization, and proper lighting, signage, and audio/visual elements.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to
unpackage, tag, and stage merchandise
for showroom placement. - Participate in
bi-annual inventory
and maintain compliance with visual merchandising standards. - Stay updated on
current trends, color palettes, and design inspirations
to reflect fresh and relevant merchandising concepts. - Mentor store staff on
merchandising principles
and involve them in ongoing visual upkeep. - Communicate regularly with store leadership on visual priorities, incoming inventory, and promotional setups.
- Perform additional visual and operational duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.; minimum age 18.
- 2+ years of retail visual merchandising experience
, preferably in home furnishings or lifestyle retail. - Associate degree in
Interior Design, Visual Merchandising
, or equivalent experience preferred. - Strong eye for detail, color balance, and spatial layout.
- Ability to
lift and move objects over 50 lbs.
, and transport loads up to 100 lbs. as needed. - Excellent sense of
aesthetics and trend awareness
with a passion for design and creativity. - Effective communicator with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Flexible schedule including
weekends and holidays
; reliable attendance required. - Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
