Experience

  • Experience and training in the following: Motivational Interviewing
  • Experience and training in the following: Solution-Focused Counseling 
  • Experience and training in the following: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
  • Clinical expertise in assessment, diagnosis  &treatment of mental health issues
  • Experience and training in the following: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
  • 2 yrs. recent clinical experience w/ clients in mental health setting
  • Experience and training in the following: Mindfulness-based Therapy

Education

  • Master of Social Work (MSW)

Competencies

  • Advanced - Intervention skills
  • Intermediate - Computer skills
  • Advanced Clinical Assessment skills
  • Organizational skills

Knowledge and Abilities

  • Knowledge in consultation, admission, discharge and transfer of patients
  • Ability to establish/maintain satisfactory working relationships
  • Ability and flexibility in adapting to changing situations and environments
  • Demonstrated high degree of accuracy is required of assigned responsibility
  • Ability to manage crisis situations in clinical areas relevant to the position
  • Works independently, effectively and cooperatively with a multidisciplinary team
  • Demonstrated skill in clinically supervising social workers and related disciplines.  
  • Demonstrated skill in mentoring and training social workers and others.
  • Has demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills.
