You are instrumental in implementing and maintaining the BCM program, including developing and maintaining all plans and processes consistent with Moneris' goals and aligned to BCM policies, standards, and ISO22301 requirements.
Working with business continuity plan coordinators, you ensure the development and improvement of business continuity plans (BCPs) through risk assessments, Business Impact Analyses (BIA), critical vendor and technology assessments, response and recovery planning, and testing and validation using industry best practices. You remain current on Moneris' products and services, including new products under development, and staffing updates across the organization, to understand the changing risk profile and ensure plans are kept up to date.
Location: You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.
Reporting Relationship : You will report to the Director, Enterprise Risk Management.
Your Moneris Career - What you'll do
Work with the Director, manage and accomplish the annual BCM program plan, including regular management alignment and reporting, and ensuring ongoing program compliance with ISO 22301.
Oversee and ensure that business continuity plan coordinators develop clear and executable business continuity plans (BCPs) in compliance with Moneris BCM policies and standards
Oversee and ensure that all BCPs are tested and that the communication, response, and recovery activities are appropriate for business needs, ensuring any gaps are identified and addressed promptly.
Provide support during all incidents requiring involvement of Enterprise Business Continuity, the BCM Incident Response 'Core' Team, or the Crisis Management Team.
Perform post-incident reviews following BCM events and major incidents to identify lessons learned; work with stakeholders to implement resiliency initiatives across the organization.
Provide training, mentorship, and support to business continuity plan coordinators and plan owners, and be an advocate for practices and culture.
Be the subject matter expert for third-party and other internal BCM risk assessments, and for inquiries on business continuity management from business groups within Moneris.
Review and maintain the BCM policy, standards, frameworks, and create processes to ensure compliance to support BCM program goals.
Keep current with industry best practices as deemed appropriate to improve the BCM program.
Comply with corporate policies established by Moneris Corporation including the HR Code of Conduct, Technology Policy & Privacy Policy
Perform other duties, as required
Your Moneris Career - What you bring
Must have or be in the process of obtaining a recognized business continuity designation from DRI or BCI such as ABCP, CBCP, AFBCI, MBCI
5 years of experience and reasonable depth of exposure to Business Continuity Management processes and practices in a large organization
Previous experience in the payment industry and with ISO 22301 Business Continuity Standard are considered assets
Proficient with MS Office Applications, in particular Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Salesforce or FusionRM or other equivalent BCM software is an asset
Project management experience is an asset
Fluent in English (reading, writing, and verbal)
Strong communication and presentation skills and comfort level working with all partners at all levels
Capability to multi-task and prioritize work to consistently meet deadlines
Solid analytical skills and attention to detail
Ability to influence senior stakeholders
