The Opportunity
This position is responsible for providing client care through focused assessment, treatment and discharge planning on our rehabilitation and recovery units, and contributing to our resident's quality of life through provisions of appropriate interventions to maximize safe, functional independence on our continuing care units. Other duties may include providing clinical supervision to support staff and students. Responsible for other related duties as required
Program summary: Comprehensive Community Care (C3) Program – a unique, long-term maintenance and support program for seniors who live in Calgary. Integrated and coordinated care is provided by a 24-hour health care team through a medical health clinic, day program, home support, transportation, access to respite beds and emergency response telephone system
Qualifications & Experience: Graduation from a recognized Masters or Degree program in Occupational Therapy Registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists (ACOT); Eligible for membership in CAOT; AADL Authorizer is an asset Experience using occupational therapy in a clinical and/or continuing care setting an asset
