Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage our organizations financial records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial data, processing transactions, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes. This role offers an opportunity to work with a friendly small team and contribute to the financial health of our organization.
Duties
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely payments and collections
- Reconcile bank statements and perform account reconciliations regularly to maintain accurate records
- Prepare financial reports, including account analysis and budgeting reports
- Process payroll accurately using accounting software tools
- Maintain general ledger entries and ensure data accuracy across all financial records
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero for bookkeeping tasks
- Support audit preparations by organizing relevant financial documents and records
- Monitor cash flow and assist in financial forecasting as needed
Experience
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within a similar industry
- Proficiency with accounting software such as Ceridian, QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll processing, and financial reporting
- Experience handling accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and account analysis
- Ability to perform budgeting tasks and analyze financial data effectively
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Prior experience with account reconciliation and maintaining compliance with financial regulations is preferred
Other tasks:
Prepare and transmit the payroll to Ceridian;
Control and journalized the Trust Funds ;
Prepare and support the annual audit;
Prepare monthly and quarterly reports for the Board ;
