Job Summary
The Human Resources Manager will oversee all aspects of the HR function, including recruitment, payroll, employee relations, health and safety, training, benefits administration, and compliance. The successful candidate will be an experienced HR professional with a strong understanding of employment legislation, payroll systems (ADP), and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

1. Payroll Administration (ADP)

  • Manage and process bi-weekly payroll using ADP Workforce Now, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

2. Recruitment and Onboarding

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for both hourly and salaried roles, including job postings, interviews, reference checks, and onboarding.
  • Partner with department heads to identify staffing needs and build strong talent pipelines.
  • Develop and implement onboarding programs to ensure smooth integration of new hires.

3. Employee Relations, Compensation & Benefits

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for employees regarding workplace concerns, policies, and performance issues.
  • Ensure fair and consistent application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Administer compensation structures, benefit programs, and incentive plans while maintaining confidentiality.

4. Compliance & Policy Development

  • Ensure compliance with all provincial and federal labor laws, including ESA, OHSA, and Human Rights legislation.
  • Maintain, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures across the organization.
  • Train supervisors and employees on policy updates and ensure company-wide understanding.

5. Training and Record Management

  • Maintain comprehensive training and sign-off records for all employees.
  • Support department leads in scheduling and tracking mandatory and job-specific training.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure training compliance and documentation accuracy.

6. Employee File Management

  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee files, including personal, medical, and attendance records.
  • Ensure compliance with record retention and privacy regulations.

7. Ethical Audits (SMETA)

  • Prepare for and manage SMETA (Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit) and other third-party ethical audits.
  • Ensure all HR and compliance documentation is up-to-date and meets ethical trade standards.

8. Benefits, WSIB, and RRSP Administration

  • Oversee company health benefits plan, employee enrollments, and inquiries.
  • Manage WSIB claims, modified work programs, and return-to-work processes.
  • Administer company RRSP plan, ensuring employee participation and accurate deductions.

9. Health & Safety

  • Work closely with the Joint Health & Safety Committee to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
  • Support incident reporting, workplace inspections, and corrective action plans.
  • Ensure all safety training and documentation are current and compliant.

10. Time and Attendance Systems (Facial Recognition)

  • Manage and maintain the employee timekeeping system utilizing facial recognition technology.
  • Monitor attendance, review time punches, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate data integration with payroll.

11. Staffing Agency Management

  • Review and verify staffing agency invoices and employee timecards for accuracy.
  • Audit agency compliance with Molinaro's standards and labor requirements.
  • Collaborate with agency partners to ensure quality and reliability of temporary workforce.
  • Maintain payroll records, handle deductions, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Generate payroll reports and ensure compliance with CRA and provincial regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Human Resources management in a manufacturing or food industry environment.
  • University degree in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
  • Proven 3 year experience using ADP Workforce Now for payroll and HR administration.
  • Solid understanding of Ontario labor laws, employment standards, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Previous experience managing SMETA or ethical audits is an asset.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • CHRP or CHRL designation (or working toward it) considered an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
