About
RS Automation is a local Automation Machine tool / Automated Machine Manufacturer that is located in Albion NY. We are a successful established firm who designs and manufactures automated machinery and automated process control systems. We are in search of experienced CNC and Manual machinists to join our professional team. You will utilize current skills and implement new skills from surrounding peers.
*Responsibilities and Duties:*
· Machine part details complete, with minimal supervision.
· Perform manufacturing processes including the setup and operation of CNC and Manual Lathes, Mills and/or CNC Swiss machines.
· Uses gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.
· Uses precision tools, machinery, and equipment such as lathe, vertical milling machine, drill press, hydraulic press, chop saw, band saw, push and pull broaches and a variety of cutting tools and equipment.
· Properly and safely selects, aligns, secures, and removes holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines
· Reads and interprets blueprints
· Inspect manufactured components for conformance to specifications using bench gauging.
· Perform maintenance tasks to maintain machinery performance and prevent machine downtime.
· Maintain work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
· Follow all safety rules and regulations.
· Welding Tig and Mig a plus.
· CNC lathe, CNC vertical and Horizontal mill, and/or CNC Swiss machining experience a plus.
· Master Cam, Cad Cam, G-Code Experience a plus 3, 4, and 5axis programming/machining a plus
· Plasma or waterjet experience a plus
*Physical Requirements:*
· Ability to work with others within a skilled work force environment.
· Fine motor skills with frequent hand and arm movement.
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
· Moderate twisting and bending.
*Qualifications and Skills:*
· 5 or more years experience as a Machinist
· Self-starter.
· Excellent mathematical skills.
· Good written and verbal skills.
· Basic computer skills.
· Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, shop travelers, etc.
· Ability to use/setup various measuring devices.
· Strong problem-solving skills.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00 and up per hour depending on experience
