As a Speech Language Pathologist, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the communication abilities of our patients, particularly children. Your work will not only involve assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders but will also include a strong focus on pediatric feeding therapy. You will collaborate closely with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to empower individuals to overcome challenges and achieve their communication and feeding goals.
*What You’ll Do*
* Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate speech, language, communication skills, and feeding abilities in pediatric patients.
* Develop personalized treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs, aspirations, and feeding challenges.
* Implement evidence-based speech therapy and feeding techniques to facilitate improvement in communication and eating abilities.
* Collaborate with teachers and parents to support students' speech, language, and feeding development within school settings.
* Provide early intervention services to children with developmental delays in communication and feeding.
* Maintain accurate patient records, documenting progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
* Educate families on strategies to support their child's speech, language, and feeding development at home.
* Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in speech therapy, pediatric feeding, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
*Basic Qualifications*
* Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
* Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy related to speech production, feeding, and the physiology of communication processes.
*Preferred Qualifications*
* Experience working with pediatric populations.
* Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to speech therapy and feeding practices.
* Proven ability in patient assessment techniques for effective diagnosis and treatment planning.
* Background in early intervention strategies for children with communication and feeding disorders.
