Senior Data Engineer (m/f/d)

This position is available immediately in full-time (40hrs./week) within Germany or UK remotely or at one of our office locations.
Your tasks
Evaluate and improve our current data infrastructure, focusing on reliability, scalability, and performance.
Implement and manage Kafka streams to ensure real-time data processing and delivery.
Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines for efficient data flow across our product's FastAPI microservices and into our data warehouse using Python, Kafka, and Airflow.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support their data needs.
Occasionally perform data analysis to support decision-making and provide actionable insights (utilising tools like Amazon QuickSight, PowerBI).
Stay updated on the latest trends in data engineering, AI, and big data technologies.
Your Profile
Proven experience as a data engineer with a strong focus on data pipeline development, data integration, and infrastructure optimization, using both relational and NoSQL databases.
Proficient in Python and experienced with asynchronous micro-services, Kafka, and cloud data services.
Analytical mindset with a strong interest in AI.
Pragmatic approach to problem-solving, balancing short-term needs with long-term goals, while maintaining high data quality.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
Willingness to experiment with new tools and techniques to enhance data infrastructure and support company growth.
