About

High Plains Radiological Association (HPRA) is seeking an interventional radiology Physician Assistant to Join our fellowship-trained IRs and dedicated IR PAs in a robust clinical IR practice. We provide all aspects of interventional radiology from modern departments and support an outpatient clinic for the Amarillo, Texas area and also several smaller critical access facilities.
*Essential Responsibilities:*
* The position involves performing diverse interventional Radiology procedures, including image-guided venous access and line placement, catheter checks and removals, and ultrasound-guided drainage procedures, fluoroscopic procedures, and biopsies.
* The PA will perform post-procedural patient admissions/discharges, inpatient rounding, and inpatient consultations.
* The PA will assist in outpatient clinics performing HPI, patient physicals, light IR procedures, and follow-up evaluations.
* The PA will be directly supervised by the IR attending physician. The PA will manage treatment plans, record progress notes, and assist in the provision of continuity of care.
*Education and Experience:*
* The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, work well as part of a team, and be proficient in the use of electronic medical records.
* The work schedule is weekdays, 8 am-5 pm.
* This position does include pager call and periodic weekend shift work.

* Current license and certificate of authority to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas required.
* BLS certification required; ACLS certification desired

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
