Job Title: IT Networking Technician 1
Pay Rate: $23 to $25/Hr
Duration: 8 months
Location: Lenexa, KS
Shift: 7:00 am-3:30 pm

This position is for the Building Automation division.

We are looking for an IT Networking Technician 1

This entry-level position assists with commercial security system installation and commissioning, ensuring that all systems and components are designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the customer. The right candidate will work well with others, take ownership, be a team player, and act with integrity. This position reports to the local Supervisor and takes direction from a mentor and Lead Technician.

• Assist with the commissioning of new security systems on customer sites.
• Document commissioning details; communicate deficiencies and progress.
• Assist with testing and inspecting existing security systems.
• Plan work with mentor, Lead Technician, and Team Leader.
• Complete commissioning within planned timelines.
• Submit accurate time and expense logs.
• Work overtime when needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or state-recognized GED; Associate degree preferred
• IT Networking experience (switch, router use)
• Knowledge of network concepts such as IP address, TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.
• Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• PC/software skills
• Basic knowledge of workstation and server operating system management
• Ability to read and understand design and construction documents
• Must be able to differentiate types/colors of wire
• Must be able to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet
• Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
• Ability to work in a team environment, providing dedicated support to our customers
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English
• Qualified applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States
• Must possess avalid driver's license with limited violations

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
