Inspects received material for defects and conformance to required product specifications. Other duties may be assigned. Verifies conformance of the product to dimensional specifications. Release of material based on inspection / test results. Interprets basic engineering drawings. Effectively uses gages and measuring equipment. Records inspection data. Performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, parts, or products to measure performance, life, or material characteristics. Enters data into the computer for analysis and prepares graphs or charts. Verifies conformance to gages to calibration standards. Ability to maintain charts, graphs, and production reports. Ability to calculate basic mathematical computations. Ability to interpret written communication. Capable of carrying out all assignments and maintaining the 5'S philosophy. Ability to understand blueprints and technical documents. Good problem solving skills. Understand SPC, Control Charting, FMEA's. A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
