As a Linux and Openshift Engineer at Bank J. Safra Sarasin, you are responsible for operating, supporting, and troubleshooting different applications running on docker/podman/Openshift and in Linux RHEL VMs. Additionally, you take ownership of creating Ansible playbooks to automate different tasks related to Linux and ArgoCD / Kustomize for Openshift and provide solutions to automate the existing manual processes.

• Operation, maintenance, support and troubleshooting of Linux systems as well as its correlated infrastructure (storage, hardware, virtualization, etc.)
• Provision and support our infrastructure using IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
• Collaboration in the conception and implementation of projects as well as further development and optimization of existing infrastructure
• Providing second level support within the existing support organization including on-call duty
• Ability to interact and support containerized applications running on podman/docker and Openshift

• Certification/education in IT System Administration, System Engineering or correlated courses
• 6 years of practical experience as a Linux Administrator and Openshift Administrator
• Experience with Openshift, OLM (Operators), Helm, ArgoCD, Gitlab, Ansible, Ansible Automation, Satellite, IDM, Linux (RHEL distro), Podman/Docker, Shell Scripting
• Knowledge in VMWare VCenter / ESXi, Grafana/Prometheus, ELK, Python and Go is an advantage
• Ability to weigh problems and set priorities as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with various stakeholders and hands-on mentality
• Strong work ethics, integrity and high level of accountability as well as willingness to take responsibility
• Fluency in English, fluency in German, Spanish or Portuguese is a plus
