About
As a Safety Coordinator you will join our safety management team and be a key individual in executing the company's safety program by supporting field operations and promoting a strong safety culture.
The responsibilities include:
- Conduct site safety inspections and report deficiencies.
- Monitor worksite compliance with company safety program.
- Implement and support project plans, regulatory requirements and other safe work practices.
- Deliver toolbox talks.
- Support incident reporting and preliminary investigations.
- Maintain site-specific safety documentation and records.
- Assist in implementing corrective actions and hazard mitigation.
- Attend and assist Worksite Health and Safety Committee meetings.
- Collaborate with site superintendents on safe work procedures.
- Maintain and administer safety supplies.
Qualifications & Skills
- Post secondary certificate in occupational health & safety.
- Minimum one years' experience in the commercial construction industry.
- Working knowledge of Manitoba Workplace Safety & Health Regulations and COR Safety Standards.
- Strong observation, communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Extensive health and safety training, including valid first aid.
- Valid driver's license with clean drivers abstract
- Ability to travel to worksites in Manitoba and Northwestern Ontario.
Working Conditions:
- Hours of work, Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Office and worksite based.
- Physical requirements include walking on uneven surfaces and carrying up to 30 lbs.
- May require occasional travel for project assessments and meetings.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
