Overview
We are looking for a part-time Bookkeeper with experience using Sage 50 Accounting, to oversee our daily financials. This would include AP/AR, HST remits, expense and sales tracking, etc. You should have strong accounting skills and be knowledgeable and assistive with tracking and maintaining labour percentages and cost margins. Knowledge of budgets is an asset. We are looking for someone to work onsite at first, with the option to perform some duties from home. Number of hours per week and schedule are completely negotiable.
Duties
- Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and provide solutions for improvement.
- Assist in budgeting processes by preparing financial forecasts and tracking expenses.
- Maintain organized records of all financial transactions and documentation for audit purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role.
- Strong proficiency in Sage 50 Accounting.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles, including bank reconciliation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, account analysis, and budgeting.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong analytical skills.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
