Contract Role

Must Haves:

• Experience as a data architect, software architect, or senior data engineer, where the proposed resource's focus has been collaborative work on and/or with cross-functional teams to create new software applications
• Experience designing, planning, implementing and supporting enterprise solution databases in an environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.
• Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and the ability to leverage them to build scalable and resilient architectures.
• Experience with enterprise architecture principles and associated best practices, methods, standards, tools, policies, and processes.
• Experience with Microsoft technology stack or equivalent development platforms.
• Experience working on the same enterprise project for at least two (2) years.
• Experience incrementally transforming existing legacy systems into modern digital services across multiple releases.
• Experience with leveraging Artificial Intelligent (AI) for data and database best practices and management.
• Experience working as a Data Architect in an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government.
• Experience working as a Data Architect with MS SQL Server and Azure SQL Server.
• Experience working with structured / unstructured databases, data modeling, data management, rapid/iterative development methodologies, and data governance tools.
• Experience working with teams that also apply UX design, service design, design thinking, or human-centered design approaches.
• Experience working as an architect using data analytics tools and methodologies to derive insights from data.
