Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Duration: 12+ Month (s)
Location: Charlotte, NC - Hybrid Role
In this role, you will:
Responsible for the build and deployment of Global Servicing Solutions (GSS) application components/releases through non-production environments
Partner with Platform Support in the setup of monitoring/alerts and coordination of production releases for GSS
Work with delivery team members in the setup and configuration of GSS non-prod and prod environments
Coordinate the availability of the non-production environments with Product team and delivery team members
Collaborate with partners and peers in the troubleshooting of build and deployment issues with application components
Perform necessary Change Management and Secure SDLC documentation for each GSS release
Design, code, test, debug, and document for non-functional requirements (NFRs) and possibly other small changes for GSS
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of DevOps experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
3+ years of experience with Jenkins, GitHub, Gradle, Artifactory, SonarQube, and CheckMarx
3+ years of experience with deployment tools like uDeploy and Harness
Experience managing applications in a cloud environment (Azure, Google, Amazon Web Services)
2+ years of experience with container technologies like OpenShift Container Platform
5+ years of software engineering experience in developing integrated and secure enterprise or web-based applications using Java/J2EE
2+ years of experience with Spring Framework
Experience in Micro Frontend and Microservices
Experience working with REST Services
Experience with API development and knowledge of common design patterns
Experience with unit testing of Java backend code
Desired Qualifications:
Previous experience with DevOps tools, SDLC, Secure SDLC, and Change Management processes
Hands on experience doing analysis, coding, and debugging Java frameworks like Spring, Hibernate etc.
Knowledge of or experience with Kafka
Experience working in an Agile environment
Experience with "test" centric development methodologies including Test Driven Development (TDD) & Behavior Driven Development (BDD)
Knowledge of NoSQL databases (ex. MongoDB) is a plus
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Job Expectations:
Ability to work outside of traditional business hours as needed
In office Tuesday through Thursday (Meetings start at 9 AM)
