*Portland, Oregon Metro Area | Full-Time | Hybrid*
*About the Opportunity:*
A growing healthcare organization in the Portland metro area is seeking an experienced *Senior Infrastructure Engineer* to join our dynamic IT team. This is a hands-on technical role for someone who thrives on designing, implementing, and managing enterprise infrastructure while mentoring the next generation of IT professionals.
*What You'll Do:*
* Design, implement, and manage advanced network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security
* Oversee server and datacenter operations, including installation, configuration, and maintenance
* Lead on-premise to Azure cloud migration projects for critical business applications
* Develop and maintain IT policies and procedures aligned with ITIL best practices
* Ensure compliance with NIST, HIPAA, and regulatory standards
* Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and minimize downtime
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic business objectives
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members
*Required Qualifications:*
*Experience:*
* Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in infrastructure engineering or similar role
* Demonstrated ability to design and architect IT solutions and lead technical projects
*Technical Skills:*
* Advanced networking: routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
* Extensive server and datacenter management experience
* Deep expertise in Microsoft technologies including:
* Windows Server and Active Directory administration
* Azure cloud services
* Virtualization platforms (Hyper-V, VMware)
* SQL Server
* Enterprise systems management (SCCM, SCOM)
* Backup and disaster recovery solutions
* Experience with on-premise to Azure cloud migrations
* Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices
* PowerShell scripting and automation
*Core Competencies:*
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to take initiative and work with minimal supervision
* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with effective prioritization
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* ITIL v4 Foundation certification
* CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
* Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect
* Healthcare IT or HIPAA-regulated environment experience
