A Day In The Life The Senior Business Analyst will play an essential role in enhancing the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) and Dynamics AX 2012 systems for financial and accounting functions. This position requires analyzing business processes, identifying enhancement opportunities, supporting integrations, and resolving ERP-related issues. You will collaborate closely with business users, IT teams, and third-party vendors to facilitate smooth operations, system enhancements, and effective reporting solutions. A solid understanding of financial modules, data management, reporting tools (SSRS, Power BI, Financial Reporter), and integrations is crucial. Additionally, this role contributes significantly to the Dynamics 365 F&O upgrade project, involving system configuration, testing support, data migration, and training activities to ensure a successful transition from Dynamics AX 2012. Responsibilities ERP System Support Act as a subject matter expert for Dynamics 365 F&O and Dynamics AX 2012, assisting finance, accounting departments, and shared services teams. Identify and resolve system issues promptly and escalate complex cases as needed. Collaborate with business users to gather requirements, configure system settings, and recommend process enhancements. Maintain system documentation, configurations, and user guides for ongoing ERP operations. Financial Modules & Reporting Provide expertise in financial areas including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgeting, Fixed Assets, Treasury Automation, Procurement & Sourcing, and Cash & Bank Management. Support financial reporting tools such as SSRS, Financial Reporter, and Power BI. Assist in financial period closing activities and troubleshoot reconciliation and reporting discrepancies. Data Management & Integrations Work alongside IT teams to support integrations between Dynamics 365 F&O (AX 2012) and external systems. Handle data validation, reconciliation, and migration tasks to ensure system integrity. Contribute to the Dynamics 365 upgrade project through data mapping, cleansing, and testing activities. Testing & Enhancements Engage in testing new features, patches, and upgrades to maintain system stability. Document and convey system enhancements and configuration changes to stakeholders. Assist in user training and knowledge transfer regarding ERP best practices. Collaboration & Engagement Work with finance, accounting, treasury, procurement, and IT teams to align ERP solutions with business needs. Support initiatives focused on finance transformation, process automation, and reporting improvements. Provide mentorship to junior analysts and users of Dynamics 365 F&O (AX 2012). What We Require From You Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. 8+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and/or Dynamics AX 2012. Experience with financial reporting tools (SSRS, Management Reporter, Power BI). Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and reporting. Strong knowledge of financial modules within Dynamics 365 F&O / AX 2012. Familiarity with data migration and ERP support best practices. Proficiency in Dynamics 365 F&O (or AX 2012) configuration and business processes. Understanding of finance processes including GL, AP, AR, FA, Budgeting, Procurement, Cash & Bank. Knowledge of ERP integrations and data management processes. Preferred understanding of Microsoft Dynamics DMF, OData, business events, or API integrations. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for diagnosing ERP issues. Excellent communication skills to bridge business and IT teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and drive process improvements. Preferred certification as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations Functional Consultant Associate. Physical & Environmental Requirements The physical demands described here represent those necessary to perform the essential functions of the role. The associate must be able to analyze and interpret data, communicate effectively, and remain stationary for significant portions of the workday while accessing and retrieving information from computers and other office devices. Occasional movement of up to 10 pounds may be required, with occasional movement of up to 25 pounds.
