About

*Overview*
We are looking for a *dedicated and knowledgeable Retail Pharmacist* to join our pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient-focused care and clinical pharmacy, with experience in diverse settings including *retail, long-term care (LTC),* and *acute care*. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers by ensuring the safe, accurate, and effective dispensing of medications and delivering trusted healthcare advice.
*Responsibilities*
* Accurately dispense prescription medications and counsel patients on proper use, potential side effects, interactions, and storage.
* Provide personalized patient care, including medication therapy management (MTM) and immunization services.
* Conduct clinical assessments and reviews to support optimal medication use.
* Collaborate with prescribers and other healthcare professionals to resolve medication-related issues and ensure continuity of care.
* Educate patients on over-the-counter (OTC) medications, health conditions, and wellness strategies.
* Maintain and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulations.
* Supervise pharmacy technicians and ensure adherence to best practices and company policies.
* Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and handling of controlled substances.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using pharmacy software systems.
*Qualifications*
* PharmD or Bachelorโ€™s degree in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
* Active and unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of MS.
* Experience in a retail pharmacy setting required; additional experience in LTC or acute care settings is a strong plus.
* Immunization certification and ability to administer vaccines.
* Strong knowledge of drug interactions, therapeutic guidelines, and patient counseling.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Good teamwork skills and ability to collaboarte with co-workers
* Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $58.00 - $65.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 โ€“ 20 per week
