Qualifications
· Satisfactory completion of formal education program in radiation therapy
· 1-2 years of clinical experience in radiation therapy.
· Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
· California Diagnostic and/or Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification
· Current BLS certification
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care.

Responsibilities
· Responsible for delivering accurately the prescribed, planned course of radiation therapy for patients of any age group inclusive of simulation, mold room duties, treatment, quality assurance, dosimetry and nursing assistance as requested by the Radiation Oncologist according to department, hospital and regulatory agency standards
· Assesses situations, exercises care, uses discretion and judgment, assumes responsibility for professional decisions, and acts in the best interest of the patient
· Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment
· Verify proper patient identification and maintain accurate treatment records
· Monitor patient reactions and report any changes or concers to the appropriate medical personnel and physician.
· Collaborate with dosimetrist, physicist and oncologist to endure optimal treatment delivery
· Uphold safety protocols for radiation protection
· Provide emotional support and clear communication to patients throughout their treatment course.

Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate \*\*Radiation Therapist\*\* to join our dynamic oncology team. The Radiation Therapist is responsible for accurately administering radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by radiation oncologists, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the treatment process.
