Each Hub integrates hundreds of sensors, robotic systems, and real-time data pipelines connecting edge hardware to our cloud platform.
We’re looking for a *LoRaWAN & IoT Systems Engineer* to lead the design and deployment of our next-generation IoT network.
*Role Overview*
As a LoRaWAN & IoT Systems Engineer at VenHub, you will architect and implement wireless telemetry networks that connect environmental, security, and operational sensors across multiple SmartStore locations. You’ll collaborate with our *Embedded*, *Networking*, and *Platform* teams to ensure that LoRaWAN devices and gateways integrate seamlessly into our cloud infrastructure.
*Key Responsibilities*
* *Design and deploy* LoRaWAN infrastructure (gateways, concentrators, and end devices) within VenHub Hubs to support sensors.
* *Configure, monitor, and optimize* LoRaWAN gateways.
* *Develop and maintain embedded firmware* for LoRa-enabled sensors *C++*
* *Integrate sensor data pipelines* with VenHub’s backend systems — including *MQTT*, *REST*, and *Firestore* — to enable real-time monitoring and automated decision systems.
* *Collaborate with software and networking teams* to ensure gateways and nodes communicate securely over VPN.
* *Document* device configurations, network topologies, and integration standards for future scalability across all VenHub Hub deployments.
*Qualifications*
* Strong hands-on experience with *LoRaWAN architecture*, *gateways*, and *end-device provisioning*.
* Proficiency in *Python*, *C/C++*, or *embedded development* for low-power IoT devices.
* Experience with *ChirpStack*, *The Things Stack*, or *Helium Console*.
* Understanding of *MQTT*, *REST APIs*, and *data ingestion* into *Firestore* or *PostgreSQL*.
* Practical networking knowledge: *TCP/IP*, *VLANs*, *VPNs*, *firewalls*, and *Linux administration*.
* Familiarity with *Docker*, and *Kubernetes.*
* Excellent troubleshooting skills for RF connectivity, join issues, and payload decoding.
