Salary
: $80,000 - $87,000 per year + annual performance-based bonus
Actual compensation offered will be determined individually, based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, licensure, experience, and education.

Summary
The primary responsibilities for this position are to implement and maintain data center backup and storage systems. Review performance of platform and make adjustments as necessary. Manage and maintain software and firmware levels of systems on a regular basis.
Secondary responsibilities include management of general datacenter equipment including storage, compute, and virtualization, monitor performance, and troubleshoot/resolve any system problems. Additional duties include providing security analysis and general data center related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Perform all duties associated with the Data Center Services Team, directed by DCS Leadership
- Performs all SAN related duties associated with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Perform configuration tuning as necessary.
- Create documentation based on standardized templates and update any previous documentation with new changes.
- Ensures that all supported systems are highly reliable, secure, and performing at acceptable levels.
- Performs root cause analysis of outages and ensures they are repaired.
- Reviews any new patches or releases that would improve performance or are recommended by the vendor.
- Continually enhances alarming and system monitoring for servers and network.
- Aids in the research, development, and deployment of new technologies and multi-vendor integration.
- Implement and maintain a consistent backup and disaster recovery plan.
- Ensures timely and effective delivery of hardware upgrades, network upgrades, and new configurations.
- Participates in planning design, technical review, and implementation for new infrastructure hardware and operating systems for voice and data communication networks.
- Assists in developing an ongoing security strategy.
- Performs various projects and tasks assigned by manager.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education Requirements
- Associates Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Systems & Network Administration or another related field is preferred. High school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
- Official training in vendor specific curriculum.
- Industry Specific certifications: NetApp Certified Data Administrator
- Entry level industry certifications preferred: CompTIA, Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, etc.
Basic Requirements
- 5 years' experience with storage systems
- 5 years' experience with SAN (Storage Area Network) and NAS (Network Attached Storage) Technologies
- 5 years' experience with Windows Server operating system
- 5 years' experience of physical and virtual server builds
- Experience writing scripts to automate common tasks
- Knowledge of Microsoft clustering, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and Windows networking
- Knowledge of TCP/IP with the ability to demonstrate and describe networking fundamentals.
- Knowledge of virtualization principles.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills across multiple projects and team members
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Systems & Network Administration or another related field is preferred
- Industry Specific certifications; NetApp Certified Data Administrator
- Entry level industry certifications preferred, CompTIA, Microsoft, VMware, Cisco, etc.
