As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. You’ll collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes, provide medication management, and educate patients on their prescriptions. Your expertise in clinical pharmacy will be essential in a fast-paced environment where every decision can significantly impact patient health.
*What you’ll do*
* Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness for patient needs
* Educate and consult patients on medication usage, side effects, and cost effective options
* Provide clinical consultations and recommendations to healthcare providers regarding medication therapy
* Conduct thorough patient assessments to identify medication-related issues and develop care plans
* Administer immunizations and manage patient education on medication administration and potential side effects
* Manage inventory effectively, ensuring the availability of medications while minimizing waste
* Utilize pharmacy software, electronic medical records (EMR), and electronic health records (EHR) systems for efficient workflow
*Basic qualifications*
* Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology
* Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
*Preferred qualifications*
* Certified pharmacist with or without retail experience.
* Immunizations certified
* Previous experience supervising pharmacy technicians
