Our Client, a leading private equity firm based in Munich, Germany, with a strong track record of investing in and growing businesses across multiple sectors. Their focus spans B2B commercial products, services, capital goods, professional services, B2C luxury goods, software, and technology. With a commitment to delivering exceptional value to their investors, they partner with companies that have strong potential for growth, leveraging their deep industry knowledge, extensive network, and hands-on approach to drive their success. They are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President (VP) to join their dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop investment opportunities across target sectors, leveraging industry contacts, market research, and strategic analysis.
  • Lead comprehensive due diligence efforts, including financial modeling, market analysis, risk assessment, and competitive benchmarking.
  • Oversee the structuring, negotiation, and execution of transactions, ensuring alignment with the firm’s investment strategy and value creation objectives.
  • Work closely with portfolio companies to drive growth, improve operational efficiency, and achieve strategic milestones. Provide strategic guidance and support to management teams.
  • Maintain strong relationships with investors, industry experts, and company executives. Represent the firm at industry events and in negotiations.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the firm.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of ~6 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, management consulting, or a related field, with a strong track record of successful investments in relevant sectors.
  • Advanced degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. MBA or equivalent is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge and experience in B2B, commercial products, services, capital goods, professional services, B2C, luxury goods, software, or technology sectors.
  • Exceptional financial modeling, analytical, and strategic thinking skills. Ability to assess complex business situations and identify key drivers of value.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships with senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and German is required.
