Healthcare Security Officer

Job Overview
We are looking for an additional Security Officer to provide support to our team that handles coverage at the South Shore Regional Hospital and Health-Care clinics in the Bridgewater/Lunenburg area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong observational skills, a proactive approach to safety, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations.

Duties

• Monitor and patrol designated areas to ensure safety and security.
• Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to identify potential security threats.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement when necessary.
• Perform loss prevention duties by identifying suspicious activities and taking appropriate action.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with clients, employees, and visitors.
• Prepare detailed reports of incidents and maintain accurate records of daily activities.
• Enforce company policies and procedures related to security protocols.

Skills

• Proven experience in law enforcement or security-related fields is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surveillance techniques and equipment, including CCTV systems.
• De-Escalation (NVCI / MOAB) and Use of Force training is preferred.
• Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and interaction.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making abilities.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $17.00-$18.40 per hour

Expected hours: 12 – 36 per week
