We are a women led business that believes every detail matters.We are now looking for a Prep Cook to join our opening team and support both our kitchen and pastry departments in bringing the Lavinia experience to life.

This is a hands-on role for someone who loves being part of a team, working with precision, and helping create food that feels genuine, warm, and beautifully made.

Job Responsibilities

• Support daily food preparation for brunch, pastries, and baked goods
• Wash, chop, portion, and label ingredients according to prep lists
• Follow recipes, measurements, and food safety standards carefully
• Assist cooks and pastry team with mise en place and daily production
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and stock rotation in fridges and prep areas
• Ensure all ingredients are properly stored and labeled
• Support kitchen setup before service and cleaning at the end of the shift
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times

Skills and Attributes

• Commitment to cleanliness and consistency

Experience

• Minimum 1+ year of experience in a professional kitchen, bakery, or café
• Knowledge of basic kitchen prep, knife skills, and food safety standards
• Food Safe Level 1 (required)
• Availability on weekends and mornings
