Job Overview
As an Administrative Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office environment. Your organizational prowess and exceptional communication skills will be vital as you support our team with various administrative tasks. You will support the Senior Administrator in all office-related tasks. Your ability to juggle multiple responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude will be key to your success in this dynamic role.

What you'll do

  • Maintain organized filing systems and assist with data entry tasks to ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Assist in setting up new employees in the payroll system, orientation preparation, and other onboarding tasks for new employees.
  • Assist in the calculation and submission of bi-weekly employee payroll to Payworks.
  • Assist the Senior Administrator in performing weekly bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks, ensuring financial records are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Maintain accounts payable ledger, including payment of invoices in the bank's payment platform and reconciliation in QuickBooks.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office and Google Workspace to create documents, spreadsheets, and presentations that enhance office productivity.
  • Proofread documents for clarity and accuracy before distribution.
  • Provide clerical support, including typing correspondence for the store and managing office supplies.
  • Assist in troubleshooting any issues with the store's POS systems.
  • Assist department managers in their day-to-day activities as needed.

Experience

  • Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role, showcasing your administrative expertise.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace applications.
  • Familiarity with QuickBooks for bookkeeping purposes is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in office management, POS system or personal assistant roles will be considered an asset.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50-$20.50 per hour
