Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated
Sous Chef
to join our culinary leadership team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll work directly with the Executive Chef (Edin Tahic) to oversee daily kitchen operations, lead the line, maintain quality standards, and inspire your team.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Executive Chef in all kitchen operations and menu execution
- Lead and motivate kitchen staff through training, coaching, and daily management
- Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency, and presentation
- Manage prep lists, inventory, and ordering
- Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards
- Assist in menu development, costing, and seasonal updates
- Ensure smooth service during busy periods and handle any challenges professionally
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Line Cook in a full-service restaurant
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Excellent understanding of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen management
- Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
- Red Seal certification or culinary diploma (asset, not required)
- Passion for hospitality, teamwork, and continuous learning
