Volunteer Coordinator, GuardMe Ambassador Program (BC)
We are seeking a qualified Volunteer Coordinator for the GuardMe Ambassador Program to join our team. The successful candidate will enthusiastically promote and represent GuardMe's suite of services and products on campuses across Canada. With at least one year of experience in student engagement, program/project management, coaching/mentorship, or leadership roles, they will contribute to long-term program engagement goals and ensure customer satisfaction. They will nurture constant feedback loops, lead recruiting for ambassador positions, and work closely with the program director in training and supporting ambassadors.
The Volunteer Coordinator will work collaboratively with other program Volunteer Coordinators, College & University Staff, and Ambassadors, to engage students, ensuring a memorable experience with the GuardMe suite of services. This role involves coordinating program logistics, supporting administrative tasks, and providing detailed reporting to the program director. This is a remote position that requires regular travel to our partner institutions located across Canada.
The successful candidate will be based in British Columbia and will have excellent verbal and written skills in English, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to support and lead teams. Knowledge of the International Education field and/or mental health initiatives in a campus environment is crucial, as is the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with technology, including Microsoft Office and various social media platforms, is essential, and previous experience as a GuardMe Ambassador is an asset.

Responsibilities
- Enthusiastically represent the GuardMe suite of services and products on-site at campuses across Canada
- Client-facing activities including leading presentations and stakeholder meetings
- Contributing to long-term program engagement goals
- Nurturing constant feedback loops to assess program implementation strengths and identify areas for improvement
- Ensuring goals are met in areas including customer satisfaction
- Lead recruiting at partnering institutions to select GuardMe Ambassadors
- In collaboration with the program director and program manager, you will:
- Deliver a training program for the Ambassadors
- Provide ongoing support to the ambassadors, including regular meetings and touchpoints
- Support event planning for the ambassador teams
- Oversee the coordination of program logistics with the support of Ambassador teams
- Collaborate with other program Volunteer Coordinators, College & University Staff and Ambassadors to develop creative strategies to engage domestic and international students by ensuring a memorable experience
- Responsible for ongoing student interaction to provide support and ensure satisfaction with the GuardMe suite of services
- Provide support to other program Volunteer Coordinators, College & University Staff and Ambassadors on administrative tasks
- Responsible for providing the program director with:
- Reporting related to program metrics such as recruiting activity, Ambassador performance, marketing collateral & budget management
- Identification, evaluation and solutions for challenges and program improvement
- Detailed feedback on student and institutional interaction and feedback
- Contributes to projects and initiatives as directed by the Director of Student Support and Engagement Programs and/or Program Manager
- Read, acknowledge, and comply with all policies and procedures of the organization.
- Attend privacy and security training during your onboarding process, as well as annually thereafter
- If you become aware of an incident or potential incident that may result in the unauthorized access, use, copying, alteration, or disclosure of personal information that may be in the possession or control of GuardMe, immediately notify GuardMe's Privacy Office.
- Agree to work together with the Privacy Office to gather required information relevant to any privacy incident, implement any corrective actions as directed by the Privacy Office, and submit privacy incident reports to the Privacy Office, as necessary.

Education & Experience
- Minimum of 1-year experience in Student engagement, Program or Project Management, Coaching/Mentorship or Leadership role in a student organization with either a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous ambassador experience preferred.
Qualifications and Skills
- Located in British Columbia, should be able to commute regularly to the Greater Vancouver Area.
- Superior verbal and written skills in English
- Proven experience with the development and execution of program/project management activities
- Excellent working knowledge of the International Education field and/or Mental Health initiatives in a campus environment
- Proven ability to support and lead teams and implement initiatives
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills to:
- Build and maintain relationships with students and staff
- Deliver presentations & develop reporting materials for audiences at various levels
- Self-motivated, strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain flexible hours to support Volunteer Coordinators, College & University Staff and Ambassadors
- Solid teaming skills to work collaboratively in a positive, energetic and outgoing manner
- Comfortable adapting to new situations with the ability to perform well and problem-solve in dynamic situations
- A strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask
- Must have a valid Driver's License with a clean abstract and a reliable vehicle for travel
- Tech-savvy with experience using Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/Outlook - Intermediate, PowerPoint –
Advanced, Canva) as well as Social Media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn)
- Additional language capabilities and experience studying or working in another country are assets
Salary Range
The salary range begins at $55,000/yr.
