Overview
We are seeking an experienced
IBM Data Manager Expert
to join our team on a one-year remote contract. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing enterprise-level data environments, ensuring data governance, optimization, and seamless integration across business systems. This position is ideal for a professional with deep technical expertise in IBM Data Manager and proven success supporting large-scale data management initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, configuration, and administration of IBM Data Manager solutions.
- Oversee data integration, migration, and transformation activities to support enterprise platforms.
- Establish and enforce data governance, security, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into scalable data solutions.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Provide technical leadership and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
- Prepare documentation, including architecture diagrams, procedures, and user guides.
Top Skills Required
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with reverse engineering legacy ETL builds (Data Manager) and source-to-target mappings to design and build future data assets.
- Well-rounded hands-on experience in the following data management domains: dimensional and relational data modeling, SQL programming, and ETL development.
Other Skills Required
- Experience implementing medallion architecture in Databricks.
- Programming experience in SQL, Python, and Apache Spark.
- Validation and testing of developed data solutions by comparing to existing or proxy datasets.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure or other public cloud offerings.
- Experience in Agile delivery.
- Experience in IBM Data Manager.
- Ability to understand, interpret, develop, and maintain requirements and design documents.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, critical thinking, time management, priority planning, and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Proven expertise with IBM Data Manager
(minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience). - Strong background in data architecture, ETL processes, and enterprise data integration.
- Experience with database systems (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Must hold an active Enhanced Reliability Status (ERS) security clearance.
