The studio is part of Bluberi's R&D department, which includes other artists teams in the US and Canada. Our artist team is comprised of enthusiastic and experienced professionals across multiple disciplines including mathematics, visual arts, software engineering, game design, audio engineering, and quality assurance. We work in a hybrid model to ensure effective iteration of creative content on target hardware while providing personal flexibility and work efficiency.Summary:Bluberi is seeking a highly motivated individual who has a passion for visual art, entertainment products, and slot machines to be part of our Reno Studio team.Game Artist IV sets the visual direction for slot machines that meet product requirements. They use skills in graphic design and visual arts to create game assets for interactive gaming experiences. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft novel features, themes and characters while meeting high internal standards and product requirements.Essential Functions: Sets visual direction and informs branding:Leads efforts to set visual direction on slot games. Ensures consistent and effective execution of visual direction.Leads early design efforts with theme exploration, competitive research and development of paper prototypes and storyboards.Creative and collaborative art development:Use professional skills of graphic design, typography, illustration, digital painting and other visual arts to create production assets. Demonstrates expert knowledge of creative software to make content. Sets and shares best practices for art domain.Collaborate with development teams and supporting departments for effective iteration of game assets and their optimized integration into the Unity platform. Adhere to established best practices.Clearly communicate integration requirements to the development team.Actively seek and incorporate feedback from domain leads and stakeholders.Enable game development teams to deliver on-schedule with timely iteration, accurate effort scoping and time estimation. Responsible for setting and championing efficient art processes.Support Game Marketing and Promotion:Provide support to Product, Marketing and Sales teams to hit business objectives, showcase products at tradeshows and enable excellent customer service.Required Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in visual arts or equivalent field or relevant professional experience.7+ years of creative art development. Preferably in the Gaming Industry.Can effectively use creative software tools to make game-ready assets. Demonstrate professional skill with Adobe Creative Cloud tools including Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects. Can evaluate and recommend a wide range of creative and technical tools for asset pipeline.Good verbal and written communication skills. Can modulate information to different development domains.
