At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join our UniQue team in Strasbourg, France.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Construct and maintain configurations for data networks
- Design, test and install network software and hardware
- Perform troubleshooting of network problems utilizing network analyzers and/or sniffers and other troubleshooting tools
- Deal with network related documentation (develop/update/review) and technical specifications
- Configure and implement network monitoring and management systems
- Implement and monitor network security
- Plan network capacity/estimate network utilization
- Analyze current network software and propose modifications and new software according to best practice standards and procedures
- Perform log file analysis, analysis of traces and dumps
- Engage with vendors offering network related services and equipment
What will you be bringing to the team?
- Have at least a Master's degree
- Minimum 9 years of relevant professional experience, preferably in the following fields:
- DNS and IP administration, LAN protocols (Spanning Tree Protocol and/or VLAN trunking)
- TCP/IP, RIP, OSF, BGP and/or EIGRP
- WAN network topologies and hardware (MPLS, Private Line)
- Network Management tools (IXIA, netflow)
- At least one of the following certifications is considered an advantage:
- Network (Cisco Certified Network Professional/CCNP or equivalent)
- IT Service Management/ITSM qualifications (IT Infrastructure Library/ITIL-ITILV3ISO/IEC 20000 or equivalent)
- Advanced knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures related to Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN)
- Expertise of network configurations
- Extensive proficiency of the domains of Internet-Protocol based Local and Wide Area Networks (LAN/WAN) administration, knowledge on Cisco ACI
- In-depth familiarity of Fortninet Firewall/VPN/load balancer configuration and troubleshooting (Cisco, Stonegate, F5 products are a plus)
- Advanced knowledge of network configuration and troubleshooting including but not limited to DNS, VLAN, IP routing, LAN, WAN, and Site to Site VPN
- Ability to perform network capacity planning
- Very good knowledge of network security and monitoring and management of network security devices
- Comprehensive expertise of encryption at network layer and encryption protocols (SSL/TLS, IPSEC, etc.)
- Expert understanding of the concepts related to load balancing, firewalls, switches (L2/L3), redundancy, IP addressing
- Advanced knowledge of network devices installation / deployment / backup and recovery of configuration
- Ability to understand / write / update / review documentation and technical specifications related to network infrastructures
- Expertise in network design, network capacity planning, network evolutions, network monitoring
- Ability to understand common network topologies as well as common cabling technologies and standards (fiber/copper, ethernet, etc.)
- Deployment of IPv6 networks
- Proficiency in English language at C1 level
