Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to join the Program Integration Team (PIT). This position is in Roy, UT and supports the Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program. Telecommuting opportunities may exist. What You'll Get To Do:
Work with product owner to develop database strategy Develop data engineering pipelines to authoritative source of truth systems. Ensure data integrity and system availability; Monitor and optimize system performance Peer review in design review of data engineering development Help define standards of documentation of data engineering pipelines As a full-time employee of Northrop Grumman Space Systems, you are eligible for our robust benefits package including:

Job Qualifications:
You'll Bring These Qualifications: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD; 4 additional years in lieu of degree Active in-scope DoD secret security clearance and able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS/SCI) clearance Experience building and maintaining Extraction Transfer Load (ETL) and data migration pipelines Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, C# Experience with version control tools such as GitHub/GitLab/Gitbucket Understanding of Agile Software Development These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: Development experience utilizing Hadoop, Spark, PowerShell, and automation scripts Working knowledge in statistical modeling, data mining and machine learning Salary Range: $99,500.00 - $149,300.00 Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
