Position: Junior Network Engineer

Description: BCIC Swiss GmBH is looking for a full-time Onsite Network Engineer in Zurich, Switzerland. The junior Network Engineer's responsibilities include the resolution of complex customer incidents and service requests in a manner that will result in the achievement of customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

The activities will range from the installation of network infrastructure, according to low-level designs provided by our PS design consultants, de-installation of legacy equipment, and preparing it for collection or disposal, to providing maintenance on the supported customer equipment including technical problem resolution, analysis, trouble isolation, and repair work for the predetermined RMA procedures. We create and deliver Cisco solutions on behalf of our end customers as well as to our Global Telco and OEM partners. We provide the complete end-to-end solution, or parts of it in conjunction with our customer's needs.

Basic Qualifications:

1. 3-4 years in a network security engineer role with CCNP certification or CCNA working towards CCNP level.
2. Deep understanding of Routing/Switching (OSPF, BGP, VPC, VSS, VRF, and Spanning Tree).
3. Strong experience in security solutions such as Next Gen Firewalls (Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto, Fortinet or Similar), Cisco ISE, and VPNs.
4. Experience in managing datacenter networks using Cisco ACI or equivalent.
5. Experience with deploying Cisco SD Access and SDWAN.
6. Experience working with multi-vendor SDWAN technologies is an advantage.
7. Experience in managing customer network devices at the orchestration layer.
8. Experience of working with NFV technology.
9. In-depth troubleshooting and strong analytical skills.
10. Experience with cloud infrastructure, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud, is helpful but not required as training will be provided.
