The client (final client) is a Swiss company specializing in industrial manufacturing and automation. As part of their activities, and various upcoming projects, they are looking for a Software Application Engineer to complete their team. This is a permanent position based in Biel/Bienne area, in Switzerland

Vacancy

Who you are

  • English AND German required
  • You are an HES Engineer or Software or Automation technician with a solid knowledge of automation systems
  • 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience in Programming with C++
  • Knowledge of machine tool control systems

Your tasks

  • As part of a team, you will be involved in programming the machines and their interfaces, participating in the development of the software that runs the machines (C++ and Beckhoff TwinCAT are used)
  • You'll be involved in defining requirements, design and testing
  • Manage entire projects, maintaining regular contact with customers
  • Acceptance, installation and parameterization of machines
  • Checking machine conformity
