Job DescriptionLife doesn't always follow a fixed schedule. That's why we created the Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.
As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Armed in Daytona Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $18.00 / Hour
Job Schedule:
DayTimeFri10:00 PM - 06:00 AMHow This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels.
- Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations, helping to deter unauthorized activity and unusual behavior.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or identification as required, and assist with screening procedures in accordance with site policies and post orders.
- Support emergency and incident response by communicating with supervisors, public contacts, and/or first responders, while maintaining preparedness to act within assigned armed post responsibilities.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid CPO is required.
- A valid armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
