**Job Description:**
*Airbus Helicopters* is looking for a **System Simulation Engineer* * **(f/m)** to join our simulation department based in *Marignane, France * to support our current and future projects*.*
You will be part of a team developing, integrating and operating modular simulation systems and simulators for all helicopter programs. With these systems, we deliver simulation capabilities for various internal and external customers*.*

As part of the system simulation team, you will be involved in the mission to deliver simulation systems for a given helicopter aiming at
* Validation of new helicopter concepts, using simulations and simulators
* Participation to the development of full flight simulators, cockpit procedure trainers and other simulation training devices
* Support of helicopter embedded system and software tests, with simulation as an enabler or test environment
* and many other interesting applications in research and development
Our teams work within agile and international projects, with a strong focus on software engineering in an aerospace context. We have a high level of interaction with other specialist departments within Airbus Helicopters, as well as external partners, suppliers and customers.
As a System Simulation Engineer you will contribute to, or be responsible for simulation projects, e.g. flight simulation for UAS projects.
**Your tasks and responsibilities**
* Integration and test of simulation systems, representative of helicopter functions with focus on avionic and mission systems
* Develop or lead/coordinate the developments of different system and sub-system simulations, according to the reference helicopter configurations and their evolutions
* Contribute to the requirements analysis of a simulation project and the interface harmonisation with partners
* Integration of simulation systems in various target environments, such as pilot training simulators or test facilities
* Project coordination tasks, depending upon experience
**Desired skills and qualifications**
* Engineering degree in aerospace engineering or similar
* Considerable experience in system integration and test
* Background in system and software engineering, with focus on real time/embedded software and systems
* Knowledge of helicopter systems and architectures
* Passion for helicopters, their functions and missions, and in particular interest for all that happens in the cockpit
* Ability to work in a team with highly international environment
* Good communication skills, especially in English
This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
Some projects may be performed at other local sites in Marignane area, therefore regular activities at other nearby locations may be necessary.
