Our client in Irving, TX is looking to hire a Network Engineer on a permanent basis. No 3rd parties/Corp to Corp. Work Expectations Hybrid schedule: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote Up to 75% travel to regional office locations (Use of company car provided) Ability to support after-hours deployments and maintenance windows as needed Position Overview Design, implement, support, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure across on-prem and Azure environments Work with routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, SD-WAN, and cloud networking technologies Support network performance, security, monitoring, documentation, and optimization efforts Coordinate with ISPs, vendors, project managers, and internal teams on deployments and support initiatives Career Levels Network Engineer I
– Entry-level networking role Network Engineer II
– Mid-level engineer with independent troubleshooting experience Senior Network Engineer
– Advanced engineer leading complex infrastructure initiatives Required Experience 3–10+ years of network engineering experience depending on level Experience with
Cisco and/or Meraki routing, switching, wireless, and SD-WAN Experience managing firewalls and network security solutions Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE preferred Preferred Skills Azure networking and cloud connectivity Palo Alto Firewalls and ClearPass IPSec, SSH, TACACS, firewall policies, and 802.1X Monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, SNMP, and SYSLOG VoIP and Microsoft Teams Voice support Mentoring junior engineers or administrators Key Responsibilities Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, VoIP, and SD-WAN solutions Perform network assessments, traffic analysis, and capacity planning Support disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives Execute network upgrades, deployments, and infrastructure improvements Maintain secure networking solutions across cloud and on-prem environments Develop and maintain network documentation, standards, and procedures Support network security initiatives including segmentation and monitoring Collaborate with vendors, ISPs, contractors, and internal stakeholders on project delivery
