Full Time- Part Time- Per Diem

Silver Lake Hospital of Newark, NJ is seeking to hire Day and Night Shift- full-time, part time, and per diem Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Certified Patient Care Technician (PCT), and Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (MA) to provide optimal care for our long-term acute care patients. Our full time CNA/PCT/MA's work (3) 12 hour shifts, part time work (2) 12 hour shifts, both statuses include every other weekend. Per diem work ( 4) variable shifts per month (one must be a weekend shift).

About Silver Lake Hospital

Silver Lake Hospital is a long-term acute care hospital with a reputation of providing patients with a place to heal before heading home. A long-term acute care hospital (LTACH) is an acute care specialty hospital that provides highly advanced and focused care for higher acuity patients who have not responded to short-term treatment in traditional general hospitals. The average length of stay in an LTACH is 25 days as compared to a 3-5 day average stay in a general hospital. Our safe and state of the art hospital is designed to admit and care for the most critically ill patients.

Position Summary

The CNA/PCT/MA is responsible for assisting in providing clinical care to patients under the supervision of the professional nurse or licensed medical practitioner. This position provides patient care in a safe and efficient manner to patients.

Position Qualifications

  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Patient Care Technician, or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant certification upon hire.
  • BLS certification required upon hire.
  • Experience working in an LTACH hospital preferred.
