Backend Developer Job Responsibilities
Develop and Maintain Backend Systems: Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code. Develop RESTful APIs to integrate with front-end systems and third-party services. Optimize Application Performance:
Ensure the best possible performance, scalability, and security for backend services. Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to address these issues. Collaborate Across Teams:
Work closely with front-end developers, designers, and product managers to implement software solutions. Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality standards. Database Management:
Develop and optimize database structures to ensure data integrity and performance. Handle data migrations, backups, and recovery processes. Stay Current with Technology Trends:
Research and adopt new tools and practices to improve development efficiency and product quality. Requirements
Education, Licensure & Certifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field preferred. Skills & Experience:
Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js. Experience with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
