7:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday with flexibility to report to work for on-call emergency requests on maintenance.
Pay Range:
$25.00 - $30.00 / hour
We are
seeking a full-time G
eneral
M
aintenance worker responsible for performing a wide range of maintenance and repair tasks. This includes inspecting and maintaining equipment, troubleshooting issues, and performing basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work. The ideal candidate for this role is someone who
has
strong problem-solving
skills, and
is able to
work independently. They should also have a basic understanding of building systems and be able to
follow safety protocols at all times
.
Responsibilities:
Safely operate various forklift
s
and JLG lifts Inspection and repair of all forklifts/JLG lifts Keep documents of inspections and problems Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts Repair or replace basic plumbing issues Upkeep
basic
services of
heating and cooling equipment Maintain cleanliness and functionality of facility, including grounds maintenance and minor repairs. Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning Clean or lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery Manage safety systems such as fire suppression systems, fire extinguishers, alarm contacts and other building systems Assemble, disassemble and install equipment and machinery Fix or replace faulty electrical switches, outlets and circuit breakers Assess functionality of all safety systems and electrical systems Routine maintenance on scheduled inspections and general repair work and maintenance of building, equipment
and machinery
in order to
maximize their uptime Seek guidance and report to owner upon installation o
f
major repairs Update business owner/department
leads
on progress of repairs Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues Educate shop workers related to OSHA standards of lock out/tag out Communicate to purchasing on necessary supplies needed for repairs Meet with Fire
department
on inspections related to elevator and fire extinguishers keep detailed record of work and periodic inspections Ability to use common hand and power tools, such as screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches, and hammers to fix, replace equipment and parts of the
building Qualifications:
Previous experience in
a manufacturing setting o
r other related fields a plus
or relevant technical training and 2 years of experience
including,
electrical wiring, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry Must be able to read, write and follow work instructions or
work related
documents Available for possible on-call status for emergency requests on maintenance Possess a valid drivers license with a good driving record Be able to
operate various forklifts and JLG lifts Possess critical thinking skills to troubleshoot problems with various types of equipment and machinery Experience or certification to provide necessary training to shop staff on forklifts and
OSHA standards of
lock out/tag out Knowledge of
s
imple operations in
window based
computer environment; preferred in

but not required Ability to
complete hands-on work in fast-paced environment Stamina to stand for long
period
of time,
walking,
climbing ladders or in possible cramped positions
within specific departments or equipment
