How you'll contribute

A Business Development Representative who excels in this role:

  • Collaborates with the Business Development Director to implement the hospital's business development plans and strategies.
  • Identifies, establishes, and maintains relationships with hospital referral sources.
  • Plans and attends community events to increase community awareness and promote a positive image of the hospital.
  • Serves as a liaison between the hospital, referral sources, and the community while consistently providing a high level of customer service.
  • Provides effective account management for assigned accounts.
  • Actively identifies and develops new potential referral sources.
  • Assists in ensuring all admissions are well coordinated with the hospital's intake and referral office, business office, physicians, and case management team.
  • Attends and contributes to business development team meetings and appropriate subcommittee meetings.
  • Develops monthly and quarterly business development plans for assigned accounts, as required.
  • Routinely participates in relevant community meetings and programs.
  • Participates in the development and execution of marketing and special events as assigned by the Business Development Director.
  • Assists the Business Development Director in maintaining the marketing budget and recommending cost-saving measures.
  • Keeps referral sources informed of program and service changes within the hospital.
  • Consistently markets the hospital to build community awareness and maintain a positive image of the organization.
  • Demonstrates fiscal responsibility in daily activities and decision-making.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration or related field preferred, combination of education and professional experience may be acceptable. Additional requirements include:

  • Previous experience in business development at psychiatric healthcare facility preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and a favorable Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), along with proof of insurance when using own auto.
  • Must show proof of automobile insurance.
