Maintenance Sales Representative
As a Maintenance Sales Representative, you'll focus on building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with commercial clients by proactively selling preventative maintenance agreements and related HVAC service solutions. You will identify new business opportunities, develop sales pipelines, prepare professional proposals, and deliver exceptional customer service to drive revenue growth and customer loyalty. This role combines relationship-building, consultative selling, and inside/outside sales activities in a dynamic, customer-focused environment within the Modigent family of companies. Duties and Responsibilities
Proactively prospect for new business and develop a strong pipeline of future sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and targeted outreach. Build and maintain lasting relationships with existing and potential clients, gaining a clear understanding of their needs and service requirements. Prepare accurate cost estimates, pricing proposals, and professional service agreements for preventative maintenance and other HVAC service offerings. Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals, including negotiations and finalizing contracts. Collaborate with the Service Support team and internal subject matter experts to provide value-driven solutions to customers. Ensure timely delivery of proposals and maintain accurate forecasting and sales activity records in the company CRM. Deliver outstanding customer service to both external clients and internal teams. Attend industry events, conferences, training sessions, and internal sales meetings to enhance product knowledge and sales skills. Work closely with Service Managers and technicians to support seamless project transitions and customer satisfaction. Supervisory Responsibilities
None (individual contributor role with strong collaboration across the Service and Sales teams). Requirements/Qualifications
Experience:
2+ years of business-to-business sales experience, preferably in service sales or a related field. Education:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Technical/Industrial field, or related discipline preferred. Certifications/Licenses:
Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record required. Physical Demands:
Primarily office-based with regular local travel to customer sites; ability to walk job sites as needed. Work Environment/Safety:
Professional office setting with frequent customer visits; must adhere to safety protocols when on active job sites. Required Skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, customer-centric approach. Proven ability to prospect, build relationships, and close sales in a B2B environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and comfort with CRM systems (Salesforce experience a plus). Excellent organizational, multitasking, and follow-up skills. Self-motivated, resilient, and able to handle rejection while maintaining a positive attitude. Basic understanding of commercial HVAC systems and service offerings preferred. Modigent Overview
