divh2Emergency Dept Tech - Emergency Room - FT Nights/h2pSalary Range $15.75 - $24.50 Hourly Position Type Full Time (72 Hours) Job Shift Nights Category Nursing Aide/ph3Description/h3pJob Summary: Performs basic duties to all age patients in the Emergency Department under the guidance and direction of the Registered Nurse./ppJob Responsibilities:/pulliUses effective communication skills with patients, staff, other departments, physicians, families and visitors./liliProvides age-appropriate and population specific patient care in a safe, skillful, accurate and efficient manner to newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations./liliDuties may include but not limited to phlebotomy, transporting patients, obtain vital signs, ekgs, splinting, catheter placement and other patient care task as assigned./liliSupports patients rights and responsibilities, including respect of cultural and religious diversity./liliMaintains the patients environment to include appropriate equipment and supplies at all times./liliDemonstrates appropriate use of equipment. Maintains supplies and instruments./liliAssists in maintaining a clean unit. Responsible for cleaning and set up of patient rooms./liliCompletes documentation accurately and timely, according to hospital policies and procedures./liliUtilizes chain of command./liliMaintains calm manner during abrupt changes in acuity and/or activity./liliRecognizes own limitations and seeks assistance when necessary./liliIs flexible with scheduling when necessary./liliReports defective equipment promptly, completing appropriate forms./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pEducation Requirements and Other Requirements:/ppEducation Level: High school diploma or equivalent required./ppCertification/Licensure : BLS required./ppExperience Requirements : Patient Care Technician experience in a hospital setting. EMT, EMT-P or CNA experience preferred./p/div
