This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to GM Global Technical Center three times per week, at minimum [or other frequency dictated by the business if more than 3 days].
The Role
Business Management Data AnalystCore IT is seeking a strong Business Management Data Analyst to support its continued transformation into a more data-driven, insight-led organization. This role will focus on business management activities across forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, and governance. The position requires someone who can bring together data from multiple source systems, turn it into meaningful insights, and help the team make better business decisions. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical capability, sound business judgment, and the ability to understand executive-level needs and translate them into clear business requirements, reporting solutions, and actionable recommendations across teams.
What You'll Do
Support Core IT business management activities across forecasting, budgeting, governance, and reporting
Combine data from multiple source systems to create a clear and consistent view for analysis and decision support
Analyze financial, operational, and business data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and recommended actions
Translate executive-level questions and business needs into clear analytical requirements and business recommendations
Partner across business, finance, IT, and operational teams to align data, assumptions, and priorities
Develop reports, dashboards, and visualizations that improve transparency and support stronger business decisions
Help define and improve business requirements, data definitions, and governance processes
Use tools such as Power BI, automation, AI-enabled solutions, and big data platforms to improve insights and efficiency
Support cross-functional initiatives by connecting detailed analysis to leadership-level decision-making
Drive continuous improvement in how business management data is collected, structured, analyzed, and used across the organization
Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
5+ years of experience in a relevant analytical, financial, or business management role
Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data from multiple systems and sources
Experience supporting forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, management reporting, or governance activities
Ability to understand executive-level requirements and translate them into business requirements, analysis, and decision support
Experience working with reporting and visualization tools
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex data and insights in clear business language
Proven ability to work across teams and build strong cross-functional partnerships
Experience with process improvement, automation, or AI-enabled solutions that improve business outcomes
Strong attention to detail, structured problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
What Can Give You a Competitive Advantage (Preferred Qualifications)
Master's degree in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field
Experience supporting business management activities within IT, technology, or shared services organizations
Experience working with large, complex datasets and enterprise source systems
Familiarity with governance processes, financial planning cycles, and executive reporting practices
Experience defining business requirements for data, reporting, or workflow improvements
Knowledge of automation tools, AI solutions, and modern analytics practices
Experience working in highly matrixed environments with multiple stakeholders
Advanced skills in Power BI, data modeling, dashboard development, or business intelligence solutions
This job may be eligible for relocation benefits.
Compensation:
The expected base compensation for this role is: $106,600 - $135,000. Actual base compensation within the identified range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
Bonus Potential: An incentive pay program offers payouts based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
